Both Kim & Steve have travelled extensively thoughout NZ, know this area very well, and are more than happy to assist you with advice, direction and advanced bookings for local attractions, restaurants and events - either before you arrive or during your stay. Steve has lived in the Waikato most of his life. Kim, who is originally from the Hawkes Bay, moved to Cambridge several years ago. They shared a vision of restoring this old country church, which is a unique piece of NZ's history, into a grand country homestead - a place they could open and share with guests and friends. They now welcome people from all parts of the country and throughout the world to stay and enjoy 'Church on Church Rd'. Kim has a love for her gardens and adding 'those special touches' in the suites, which you'll see when you come and stay. Steve trained as a chef and loves cooking. Both love entertaining and meeting people. Together with their resident cats, Vienna (so named from Kim living in Austria) and Rupert (so named for his rather 'eccentric' personality),  you are assured a warm welcome, generous hospitality and assistance during your stay.
